Making Z-ordering for objects now allows to hide invisible places. This is mush closer to abstract 3D imagination. We also desided to add a noise but it’s not too cute. Second way of rendering is still under experiments but it’s almost clear that we have to get rid of it.
Kyivstar (one of the biggest mobile service provider in Ukraine) has changed it’s CAPTCHA. I don’t realy know why, but I hope they found our site and understood the problem. Understanding is good, but rushing is bad. Instead of think about how strong CAPTCHA should be built they just made primitive changes. It’s now in 100 times stronger then was, but still is easy to beat. Another primitive CAPTCHA was implemented at UMC (biggest competitor of KS). And it’s still there!
This is what we got with version 0.1. Our idea was to make a picture in 3D with an objects, which are identifiable only with abstract 3d imagination.
Then we developed version 0.2. It becomes hard to read. But it gave us the second idea of surface rendering. All following versions uses this idea.
Well, we have added couple new CAPTCHAs on our weaklist, the most known is rapidshare.de CAPCTHA images – yes, it’s not too good.
This is the first real commercial version. After a lot of experiments you may see in 0.X branch we understood that some acceptable time of execution can only be reached for simple and fast ideas. This is the fast one version, it’s based on 0.1 version and maybe not extra-unbreakable, we see some ways of how to OCR it, but it will be a five-star captcha in our list.

We are glad to present you the new 1.2 version of our tEABAG_3D CAPTCHA. It’s more hard to break, it looks nicer (I hope), it’s rewritten with PHP5 and it’s OOP well-made now. I hope you’ll like it.
We changed the net schema for surface, not it’s hexagonal. Also we desided to start some colors experiments and at least – no line tracing surface rendering. Noise seems to be too bad, it does not allow to read the message, we removed it for a time.
After some time of browsing the web we found a set of new CAPTCHAs which must take a place in a Weakness list. Some of them are small and local, but it also contain a world wide famouse systems. Due to a self-confidence of webmasters we will have a lot of places where OCR may be successfully applied.
We decided to start a series of publications with explanations of how to beat a CAPTCHA. First article is now in the stage of illustrating and preparing to be published here.
